1/ Ludgershall: Installation on Andover Road - Lots of artillery hardware on this one right opposite houses.
2/ Tidworth: Close to Army barracks and housing estate, chucking out some serious EMFs.
These highlight the need for more Wiltshire branches of the National Residents Association. The problem is country wide, and needs to be tackled locally. If you wish to set up a Wiltshire branch please contact us.

Another planning application has been submitted on the council website for a 5g telecommunications monopole to be erected by Westgate Library and we are trying to get as many people as possible to object by January 24th

I am writing to object to the proposed telecommunications monopole at the junction of Minster Road/Canterbury Road in Westgate (Ref TL/TH/24/1490)
Below are a list of my reasons for objecting to this application
1) There should be an exclusion zone of 500 metres from the monopole but we know of at least 3 schools and a community centre plus residential properties that are close by
2) The monopole will not be shielded by tree cover and the submitted documents clearly show that it will tower over the trees in its proximity and will negatively effect residents in the area.
3) The mast and cabinets will spoil the appearance of Westgate Library which is central to the town's learning and education.
4) The ICNIRP certificate provided makes reference to the now dissolved company Three UK Limited and does not relate to the applicant which is MBNL. This would make this application invalid.
5) There is a similar monopole further down Canterbury Road near Westgate fire station. This existing monopole does not establish a positive precedent for such
a development.
It dominates the area and damages the street scene, a second monopole in close proximity is unnecessary and will further destroy the
appearance of the area and the road. Its height will create a visual distraction to drivers on a busy main thoroughfare through the town.

Burnley Residents Association Update Re BESS
We took to the streets yesterday to promote awareness for my friends anti (local) BESS petition and to let people know about where it is being earmarked for (greenbelt land, next to a gas pipe).
We were mainly well recieved ... some people just ignore you but that's ok... a number of people already knew about it so that was good.

Lots of support off people once we helped them realise why we were there (and not selling solar panels lol).....
This gave us a chance to promote Burnley RA and the FB page/email and get the word out that we are going start holding meetings soon.
We are going back out at the weekend too.
If we don't try, how will things change?👍
